Feel free to suggest me a movie to watch that isn't dirt old (1990 or newer). I am a sci-fi, action, thriller nut so anything along those lines will do. I also love comedy. But if you have something outside of that that is worth looking into let me know.

then you're missing out as some of the best sci-fi was made in the 1980's

    i reccomend:

    the thirteenth floor
    predators
    deep star six
    pitch black
    the mist
    event horizon
    sunshine

Let The Right One In - One of my favourite films but is Swedish with subtitles. If this bothers you, you could always try the US remake, Let Me In.
Inglourious Basterds - Not an incredible film by any means but is certainly fun enough to fill the 2 hours and 20 minutes it will take to watch it- this may seem long but it really whips past. Or at least it did for me anyway.
These are the two that spring to mind right now, though obviously there are a lot more films out there. Perhaps you could look in the top 100 films list on IMDB? Hope I helped.
