Hello, Greetings from finland This is my new casemod called Lucid Dream Case that i am modding is Silverstone LD03 My plan is to fit 240mm and 120mm rads for watercooling and do hardline. I dont have any components for this build but i update this as soon i get the parts Cpu: Gpu: MB: Memory: Psu: Silverstone SX800-LTI Case: Silverstone LD03 Watercooling:??
For test fitting i 3D printed alphacool radiators. Test fitting side 240mm rad with normal 25mm fan but if i use bottom fan as intake i have to go with 15mm slim fans. Top radiator will on the outside but it fits under the panel.
I'm more of a 'get the radiator and MAKE it fit' person, but that works too. I see the top rad fittings possibly colliding with the side rad's in that configuration. Would it be possible to rotate the top rad so the fittings go through the front? -I have one of these cases from drawing up MNPCTech's OuterWorld's mod, so I vaguely have an idea what you would need to do. The front is about 3/4" thick, so it might be possible to re-plate the face and I/O cover plastic with plexiglas, (or a print,) and hollow out a space to run the rad plumbing over the front frame rail. Edit: The average radiator outlet tank is 1 inch, right? OK, that might stick out the front a bit.
There is good change that the fittings collide, but i have backup plan to rotate the rad and i think this way there is no problem.
I designed and 3D printed new sidepanel for the case with better airflow and same type of design than the top cover:
Trying to post more updates but i am waiting for the components so i can do more test fitting. Here i some pics of the sidepanel:
