Here's two more game suggestions to add to the madness: This is the Only Level - A simple little game of getting your elephant from the starting point to the exit pipe, there are 30 challenges and it times how quick you can complete them and counts the number of times you die. There's a very slight puzzle element to it, nothing too complicated though (stuff like using the mouse to control the elephant, reversed controls and doing it blind). Tetrisd - Another simple game, you just have to keep avoiding the Tetris blocks as the fall down and climb higher and higher for as long as possible.
It could have been that it was lagging so bad at work that it was moving at something around 3-5fps making it impossible to miss the jumps.
I just completed it for the second time and got 26,120 again. At which point the game ends and it displays the score ... You did see the long platform where it tells the player that they've reached the end of the game? Tetris game = definite. I found one ages ago I wanted to add that was very similar but was a bit rubbish. Yours is much crisper. The other game you mentioned is a bit long if we go for all levels, but we could do a time trial on level 1? EDIT: scratch that. I thought each level was timed and it's the whole game that is.
I just tried it again now at home and it ended at 26,120 like yours. I think the lag killed it at work, stupid ancient computers. :\ It just kept going and going with the exact same mini platforms...
This is the Only Level should only take about 5-7 minutes to do the 30 challenges. Much less time once you get the hang of the game. Saying that, I do usually spend about 3 hours or more messing about on these games at work.
[ZiiP] NaloaC wins Jump It! (will add you to the winners list later today) Thursday's game recommended by Edwards, Squares 2
I'm not sure I understand Squares 2... you'r just supposed to avoid the other squares right? Got bored after ~500seconds so touched some squares and lost, could have kept on going tho if it wasn't so boring?!
Get black squares for score, avoid the red ones. Black circles are powerups (slow mo, invuln, +points, smaller circle), red circles are negative powers (speed up, - points, bigger square).
You gotta feel for Edwards, you can't do much better than get to the end of a game and think you've won ... Although he already has enough trophies to fill a decent sized cabinet, so I don't think he minds too much!
Ahh well, thats what competition is for. Think I'll win todays one when I get home, my work mouse sucks (though i'm still going to try! Rollerball for the win )
Had another quick go because I'm bored and can't think of what to go get for lunch: http://img200.imageshack.us/img200/4652/squarej.png Almost caught up with Edwards. Bar raised ever so slightly:
I give up! It's driving me mad. (great recommendation though!) -1000 points fuuuuu bigger square fuuuuu speed up fuuuuu At the start of it I managed to get over 5.5k twice and thought that I was playing like a ninja. I've since gotten worse and worse. :ragequit: added: Edwards ... 21,673 ... impossible!
Edwards wins Squares 2! Friday's game recommended by suenstar, Tetris'd Ball rollin' is 53.37 seconds if you get a game-beating score, post it later to give others a chance to join in!
