I have just got a z390 Asus Strix mitx mobo. It already had stand off in both screw positions but when I put the drive in the inner most one causes the drive to bend a little. I tried taking it out by hand and then with pliers but the ting won't shift.

Is this an issue? Has anyone experienced similar?Any help appreciated on this one guys. Cheers.

Pretty sure it should come out .. the one's in my crosshair board are all removable. Wouldn't really want to bend the PCB of the m2 drive and stress things. Is there any circuitry on th eback of the m2 that could short out ?

I will have to have a check. Yeah, bending these things is not something I like either.

If its anything like the MSI boards i've come across, they use a small socket to remove the mount.

It might have to be that then. I don't have anything like that though I don't think.
