Try Easons. Place is full with Xbox gaming magazines and photography. It's like a treasure hunt trying to find CPC.

Uff, WHSmiths. It's like a combination of the front row of a concert and a library. When you have battled your way to the mags and found what you want - usually by crouching on the floor near some other guys wedding veg (in my town most of the PC mags are on the bottom shelf) - it's then a game of hunt the cover disk on cheaper publications (if applicable). Hate the place.

WhSmith in Oxford seems to randomly choose when to stock CustomPC - I find it easily one month, the next it's just disappeared!

I tried looking for Digital SLR Photography at my local branch, but nothing. I got my first copy at Sainsbury's, but I haven't been able to find it since then. I may have to get a subscription instead.

In my local WH Smiths Custom PC is normally found on the top shelf... yup go figure! ;-)

But yes I've recently noticed too the more prominence of magazines devoted to "Apple" world. Only bought one such mag and that was something to do with 100 best apps for iPhone. It was only a special offer for around £2, normally £10.

I think it's awesome there's so many Apple related mags!

I remember back in the 90s watching pretty much all but Mac World and Mac Format close shop. Not that I buy the mags now though, used to be my source of game demos and shareware before I had a connection that could download in a manageable amount of time :)

I quite like the new agent in Thame not too far from me, they have a all the magazines along 1 wall in alphabeticalized categories, makes it easy to find something about my interest of the moment.

Try WH Smiths or Sainsbury's. Or do what I do and subscribe.
