I am having a really odd problem as of right now. My friends computer one day crashed with a "Hard Error" about 2 weeks ago and I have been working on it since. What happens is that when the power button is pressed, the CPU fan ticks/spins up on this new mobo I just bought and got today. I pretty much tried everything that I could find regarding this but do you think that the processor might be shot? I don't really have anyway of testing it. Thanks in advance. Also I tried a new cooler which spins instead of ticks like the last one and the spin last longer when I take out one of the ram sticks.
