Well, im planing a mod for my friend's computer,
first i have a question, will 2 little speakers can kill a computer?
(i plan to put them inside the computer case)

so the mod is to put a little 2 speakers in the computer for small lan partys.
but the big problems is how to do a volume changer?

the outputs from the sound card(based on motherboard (SoundStorm)) are :
Left channel Front, Right channel Front, Left channel front ground, Right channel front ground.

    Any body got any idea's?

    10x.

Get a log. potmeter (stereo) and solder in series with the signal lines. Should be pretty easy...

i'm not quite sure about the mounting of the speakers.. are they magneticly shielded?

I'm not sure what you mean by 'speakers'. All computer 'speaker' systems are an amplifier-speaker combo, there isn't enough power from the soundcard line-out to drive an ordinary loudspeaker directly.

You could drive ordinary small speakers to a reasonable volume with a single-chip stereo amplifier running from the 12V line. Maplin. Quasar, etc, do kits.
