Hi guys i need some help i have a ASUS M4-N68t v2 le It says i can have... 2 x DIMM, Max. 8GB, DDR3 1800(O.C.)/1600(O.C.)/1333/1066 Hz ECC, Non-ECC, Un-buffered Memory Is that max of 8GB or max 8GB per DIMM
looking at the list...i belive thats 8gb total ram so max module size of 2gb here is the memory support sheet http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/AMD_AM3/M4N68T_LE_V2/#MSL
Wait just a tick here: where did you get that information from, Yeoo? On Asus' own site - as linked to above - they say the board can support 16GB max, so I'll hazard a guess that what you've read is either inaccurate, or outdated (you may need to update your BIOS to allow for full memory utilization). Unless you've typed in the incorrect model number in your original post
8GB will be the real world max, since it's basically impossible to find module with 8GB density, so a 2x4GB kit... Just like I have a board that 'support' 32GB, but 2 dimm slots... yeah right.
I shouldn't be posting on forums so early... didn't see v2... other one only have 2 slot. Also it's been a little while since I looked, and apparently 8GB modules are easily available now, which weren't not too long ago. I'm not perfect.
http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/AMD_AM3/M4N68TM_LE_V2/ 2 slots.. can i have 2 4gb or 2 8gb? i forgot the m
Checked on Amazon: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Asus-M4N68T-M-LE-V2-Motherboard/dp/B0044XXQFA And it says it supports 16GB max, so it means it can take 2 x 8GB DIMM's Edit: Ninja'd >.<
