Hi guys. I would like to give Aurora a try, but first some questions: * This is my setup: CPU: Alphacool NexXxoS XP³ Light - Acetal Edition GPU: Alphacool NexXxoS NVXP Nvidia GTX680 Pump: Alphacool DC-LT Ceramic - 12V DC Pro with plexi top Radiator: Alphacool NexXxoS ST30 Full Copper 360mm Res: Alphacool Cape Corp Coolplex Pro 10 - Copper Edition 10/16mm clear tubing ... a pretty basic setup I guess. Is it ok for Aurora? * I know it's more of a show-off coolant, but some people must be using it in their home setups. I would be nice to hear some overall real-life experiences? * I would like a black coolant. There are no ready-made Auroras in black, but I've seen videos of people dye mixing with Aurora Supernova. Do you use some special kind of dye when mixing with Aurora? * Let's say I'm using Aurora and I want to replace it with a regular clear coolant, are the "peals" hard to get rid of? //Quizz
It is not "more of a show-off coolant", it is a show-off coolant. The first line in the product wiki says with red : http://mayhems-aurora.wikispaces.com/ http://www.mayhems.co.uk/front/aurora-guide.html
Back when i was planning my loop for my main rig, I wanted to use see threw tubing and white water. I was told, that unless I wanted to drain and refill all the time, the best would be to buy white tubes, and run distilled water with additives. Aurora was also on my wish list at one point, but as mentioned, it really is only a show off liquid, not an everyday liquid.
It's a show coolant that needs replacing after 3 months which is why the utopia PC reviewed recently is so awful. Rma 6+ times during the warranty period. Needs solid fluid to be viable. I used it, never will I use it again.
