Peripherals Mechanical Keyboards

So I'm a mix between blue and red ones now.. Could it be worth buying one, trying it, and it's dire, send it back for the other set?

Nooo! Not blues for gaming! They make so much noise, every time you slightly strafe on BF3 you will hear a click.... I got used to it but I would definitely say browns or reds would be the best.

 

I usually game with headphones, the Vulcan anc headset takes care of background noise. If there's no headphones the volume is so loud people actually think there's a war going on.

 

I personally love the click, whenever I play TF2 there's this lovely constant click, good stuff

 

Personally I found even the browns too loud for gaming, but that's just me and I game with open headphones so it was quite easy for me to hear them.

Yep, they don't really make much difference TBH and some people don't like the way they affect the feel (I didn't mind too much but never really used them for very long). In the end I got a Topre board which I find much better.

 

Not pissing off your sleeping roommate or coworkers is a worth it

 

They ruin the feel though and typing gently also works!

No he sells directly through his store. He just uses eBay to reach a wider audience, but its cheaper directly from his store and many people here have bought from him with no issues. Amazon was much more expensive IIRC.

Just joking, the reason I double post is that I post most of the time from my smartphone (no tapatalk either) and the quick reply feature is just so much faster, as well as one less slow click



If you want the opinion of someone who tried blacks as a first switch, you will find them awesome beyond belief.

I must admit I am intrigued by a keyboard costing double the price of any Cherry MX.

Apparently they have a softer press and feel like very nice domes. Always been intrigued myself but its a helluva lot of money just to try something. Is the hhkb a realforce?
