    From the Inq:

WE DIDN'T want to write this story until we'd verified it for ourselves.

But old Microsoft appears to have borked the scrolling with its Q824145/K824145 "update", which is beginning to destroy a version of IE we've got here.

We're experiencing somewhat of a double scrolling problem here on our machines.

There's a bit more on this here. Does this prove that "Windows Update" is an oxymoron? ;)

I was in the middle of installing that update when I stumbled across the Inq reporting that. GRRR!! I haven't actually rebooted yet, so I'm not sure if it's going to cause me much trouble. At least it's easy to remove :)

I use IE for normal use and Opera to use my uni's web proxy so I can access the intranet.

I actually prefer the plain and simple IE to other browsers that seem to try and compete by adding a ton of useless **** I will never use. Plus with IE everything displays perfectly which occasionally doesn't happen with some other browsers...

It also seems to break the handy links in windows explorer(left pane) you click on em' and they don't do a darned thing I reinstalled IE which worked.
