    Ok, it looks like the discuss link just redirects back to the article....

    So whats the problem? that the patch has *fixes* for both non-existant hardware/software?

    There was a recent readme file for an Earth 2160 patch that suggested that R520 had support for Shader Model 3.0a. Microsoft have basically confirmed that there are no plans for a new revision of Shader Model 3.0, as has been referred to as Shader Model 3.0a.

    So did Earth 2160 mean SM3? Or is ATi still not adhering to SM3?

    their upcoming parts will be Shader Model 3.0... I don't know whether it is the Earth 2160 devs or ATI doing the spinning. I just wanted to set the record straight. :)
