my only suggestion is to goto junk yards and army surplus.... if you know any junk yards around you could scour have construction equipment cause it might have some (i once did this for an ultra rare handle) anyways thats my suggestion prolly be free to
are you sure? i am a proud legal owner of the catalogue, and have just scoured it twice....could you tell me where?
depends where you inject, its temperature and how hard you pump it in... if you want to sit on a time bomb you CAN have instant Nitro... another (safer) engine mod you can do is to inject water into the cylinders mixed with pure alcohol...
see Phats reply and mine if it is taking a minute for your nitros to engage then you are doing some thing wrong, i run a dual shot NOS(thats a brand people not the product) Fogger system, in my 72 merc cougar GT super coup, and when i prime my system at the line, i put around 900 lbs of presure in the line that leads right up to the last "valve' befor the injectors. using a didgital controled fire switch and a dyno, my system gains ~120 bhp in under .045 seconds from the time it fires. and the second shot is a little slower before it hits max power of right near 225 bhp at around .125 seconds. nitros is about as fast a power boost you can have, turbos lagg, huffers(supper chagers) have parasitic loss, wipple charges is a cross between buffers and turbos, where as nitros is flick a switch, hit the button and there it is POWER, true turbo in a bottle i dont like the water injection methoad because all it does is cool the intake and that gives a performance boost but it also wears out your engine, valves, exhaust way faster, and it can lead to detonation and thats a big power killer
Those switches are cool but maybe just a wee bit overkill. I think on a standard lan li or something that would look a bit out of place. Maybe on an extreme case or something it'd look cool but 20 just seems like such a rip for a switch. JMHO though. Happy modding!
so we're back to square 1 then... ....with some rather scary extreme car fuel injection gizmo thingamebob interjections in between.....oh well....this topic will fall once again into bit-tech archives......until i bring it back again in 6 months
I can get you one for $9.99US and ship it to you, if ya wanna pay... They are at my local autoparts store...like I said... Exact same switch/model... Email me to find out more...
you can get them from most electrical suppliers, ive seen almost identicle ones to them in the RS electrics catalog, and they only a couple of £
Idea! I'm pretty shure that the switch is a on/off not a momentary switch like that used for the ATX spec. So here's a link to a switch so that you screw out that switch and screw in this kind: http://www.radioshack.com/product.a...26EA857A5AE5D98F65D063BDD31F6295A92DE33A2CBAB
That's the exact same kind of switch (Not the style, but momentary dpdt) that I used for the power window LCD mod... I might replace the one I have with that one in your post though, it's easier to mount cleanly...
Great! I'm glad I could be of help =) Too bad I don't have any place for a military switch. Otherwise I would delinatly do the mod
Yeah, I know what you mean, i can get them by the case, but I don't have anything I really want to put them on.
U know the old alienware hydrolics? Right? I have one of those, and I painted it, and put in a powered motor for the hydrolic door (so it would go up and down). Right now it looks lind of ungly cuz the switch is just a standart flipswitch. I have a friend who knows where to get the military style caps for cheap, so i'm gonna put it on it
Maybe i missed it, but where can i get this in the US? ...Preferably cheaper than Directron's price. Jameco doesn't carry it (From what i saw) and i dunno where else to look, between lazyness and giving up. i dunno :|
I hear autoparts stores carry them. Otherwise i'll ask my friend [Edit] I have a friend who's dad owns an autoparts shop and he actually has 2 of those switches (yellow and red). I'm trying to get the prices
hmm xoxide just got em, http://www.xoxide.com/militaryswitch.html ... to bad theyre only $2 cheaper than caseetc/directron, and kinda diff too, they look flimsy
