Is the server full up, or are you still giving out the IP? If so could you PM it please?

    This seems like fun. :)
I've only just started messing with Minecraft (thanks guys, I now have no time to do anything else) though, so it'll take me a while to figure things out. Any chance I can join the Bit-Tech server?

Back now, it was very hot and loud! I really need to look at getting a lower power consumption unit, but can't afford to this month :(

I can't really get in to this game. I played it for a few days and built an epic base with massive mine shafts going down to the bedrock. I got diamonds, red stuff, gold, everything I want, but I have no incentive to continue and I don't get how people can play this for a long time?

What is the incentive to keep playing? I have watched X's adventures on youtube, but he just builds and builds more elaborate mining operations, but there seems to be no reason for it and he achieves nothing new. He has lookout posts on top of his base, but what is the point of looking out? Nothing attacks your base, and there is no real reason to kill the creatures.

I could understand it all perfectly if there were rare loots dropped from the enemies, or you gained experience from killing them, or there were very rare artefacts deep within the ground. Things like that could keep me playing for a long time. But there isn't, so I found all the materials I ever need in my first couple of sessions, and now I feel like there is no point playing. As for multiplayer, it would be exactly the same but with other people. If you are going to spend time doing stuff in a virtual world with other people, I don't see why people don't just play an online game, or MMO.

those without imagination will find the game a bit lacking :thumb:

seriously though, thats what the game is about: designing, building, creating. taking images and ideas from your brain and making them a virtual reality. some people enjoy challenging themselves, some enjoy an outside challenge (ie: points, loots, XP, etc).

Sounds like your more of an (MMO)RPG style person, looking for the next lvl up or quest, and thats fine.
Some of us just want a game that devoid of all that, and we can literally do what we want, when ever we want. Play for 10min (hahaha, funny) or 10 hours.

Minecraft is all about being a sandbox game in the most purest of forms - thats it :thumb:

    I agree with Draksis.

I didn't think this game would appeal to me, but seeing as how many of you fellow bit-techers seemed to love it I took a chance and bought it. A move I have not regretted. I've been looking for an engaging game that I could play in the living room at our shared laptop without having to retreat to my computer room downstairs for my daily gaming fill, and this one hit the spot precisely. The possibilities for what you can do in-game are endless, and I find I don't miss the "combat" or damage from SP, but rather relish in the oportunity for construction and mining. Working within the limitations of erecting structures using 1x1x1 blocks makes for interesting challenges, and it's amazing to see the level of creative genious this game can, and will, inspire in dedicated players. Also, the fact that bit-techers will respect eachother (mostly) and refrain from griefing makes the whole thing even more enjoyable. However, yesterday I noticed that someone had committed an atrocity; someone had griefed the sign of Relix and changed it to read Felix! An act which must be punished severely! I suggest public flogging.
