    Hi guys,

What do you think about the

Asus E45M1-I Delux for a small server board?

I'm looking at the HP microserver, but i would like to see if i could do any better, it's for a small SQL server, mabye some exchange for a verry small (1 or 2 man ) IT company, and to keep track of the customers, and stuff like that.. so not really heavy load material..

and it should be as cheap as possible!

I am using a Zotac Zbox AD04 with a SSD and a couple of USB HDD's.

It serves files, streams, serves wifi, downloads and does backups for <20W.

Depends on the price you can get a microserver at. That boards AMD E-450 appears to be slower than the AMD Turion II Neo N40L found in the microserver and that board alone is 130 quid over here

Why not some H61 ITX board with G530 ? That AMD board is £136, versus something like :
    http://www.scan.co.uk/products/msi-...ddr3-sata-ii-3gb-s-graphics-on-board-mini-itx
    http://www.scan.co.uk/products/inte...e-core-socket-1155-24ghz-2mb-cache-65w-retail
    Total: £81.96. Or a bit more (£96.36) if you want a PCI-E x16 slot :

Unfortunately in ITX area AMD platform is absolutely unable to compete - the few boards are overpriced as hell, and performance is usually worse at higher power consumption.
