Hi all, After publishing my guide on my site, I send the pics here- here is my guide on my site (PC-Tip) - http://www.pctip.co.il/guides/ccflpanel.php pics are here light passing into the case - not good... Will be glad to receive replies, Avner Richard
something that can be nice- i can put one blue cathode on one side and a red one on the other side it should give a beautiful fade and purple effect have to get one....
yup ! I will take a red cathode.... I will also write about the Coolermaster neon led fans, they are great !
I'm gonna give that a try, problem is the cathode tube gets hot. But I'll do it without aluminum foil, it would block airflow from my fans
exactly- I wrote these two things in the guide.... the tube doesn't get hot enough to melt something because the heat is reansmitted to the case metal and is diffused if you have fans there, you dont have to use foil, it will just add a beautiful effect...
you know that little wire which runs to the end of the tube? Did you have problems with that touching the foil? I know it's at a very high voltage, but I'm not sure if it's shielded or something
to be honnest, I don't like this kind of mods I think it's ugly if you "see" the ccfl you should have a nice and even glow everywhere, now it's brighter in the center and almost nothing at the sides
Thanks for replies !! wharrad : of course I know it, but the foil is isolated with the tape on it, and also the wire is along the inner side, AND also the panel has space inside it, so the cathode does not touch the case Your'e wrong. The panel structure does not allow you to see the cathode, to be able to see it, you will need to be on the same height of the floor of the case... And the light is diffused and have a special 'fade' effect...
oppinions differ, but since my case is ON my desk, I can tell you that you CAN see the cathode (I've tested it)
