CPU Modders Get "Coffee Lake" Chips to Work Stable on Intel 100/200-series Chipsets

    That could prove interesting and useful at some point when I need to upgrade from my 6700k, atm I see no need to, only the gtx970 gfx card is on my list to upgrade now I have a 4k TV. Oh and more memory, 16Gb isn't enough.

    Interesting, now if only they could get them to work on Ivybridge with DDR3 :confused:o_O:D

    Well, for a given degree of 'working': Quad core Coffee-lake chips only unless you start selectively masking pins, and you need to drop the TDP limit because you're not providing enough power (fewer VSS/VCC pins available).
