    I found double sided sticky to be a bit weak sometimes, duck tape seems far superiour (well my top window hasn't caved in... yet).

    Great finish to the edges I will remeber the wet dry and soap trick never thought of that!! I have used duck tape in the past but have just added a new window with hot glue it is a excellent finish and you can easily put the window off!!

    The tape to use is about 2" wide and is the sort used for sticking down carpets. Pro carpet layers use it and believe me it really does stick! The "cheap" stuff sold in stationary shops is poor. ;)
