The other week the was a brilliant rainbow in the sky, but with my camera being a useless compact I couldn't get it all in the shot then I had a master stroke and took lots of photos so I could create a montage.

Have you tried ptgui or photomerge in Photoshop? It's a nice effect you've got there, but I can't help feeling what it'd look like all lined up :)

btw.. "We need a montage.. MONTAGE!"

Oh no, I really like how this turned out. All the photos one on top of the other looks very cool.

I quite like the effect here. By all means, experiment with different methods of photo-merging, but for this particular composition I would keep it as is. I think the way the overall image is fractured makes an interesting parallel to how rainbows are created by "fracturing" light.

All that aside, it just looks cool.

Damn your insight, supermonkey! I was enjoying a cool effect and then you have to go all logical on it.

I like this one a lot. I think it would look pretty in a living room with the right decor.

Aye, I think it looks lovely (and it does!) - I just wonder what it'd look like merged together, as oddball_walking mentioned he'd taken a load of photos of the scene.

i quite like that although am not so sure about the darkish look to it. imo it would be better if it was a bit lighter
