Prologue so far has confirmed 16 cars per track, full online play, and 50 different cars to select. Makes me wish I had a PS3 and an HDTV. Note: Jpeg compression doesn't do a few of these screens much justice.

Hmm... not keen. Obviously the cars look amazing, but I don't think enough attention to detail has been paid to the environments. Particularly in the third shot, the red and white strips look really budget. It also concerns me that in shots 1 4 and 6 the pit crew appear to be in the same pose. That can't be a coincidence, and it's a shame - I thought they were going to be fully animated.

The images don't do it many favors, some of the videos of the game on PSN look much better. Though like forza it does seem that the higher res and sheen out into stuff like the cars etc makes the track look a bit lame in comparison, a little bit to clean and clinical, still the driving is going to be superb if GTHD is anything to go by. Full G25 support will be nice too

I saw all these a while ago and an HD video of it too, and the human models are just plain awful to be honest. Just stick to the cars and sort out the environments and the game will be visually spectular. At the moment, it's a bit all over the place. PGR4 currently looks far more dynamic from a visual standpoint.

The F430's have their Rear Views like that in real life, that are at a slanted angle but the actual mirror is completely level.

I think the problem is with the graphics in the rear view mirror. Look at the the mirror; it looks terrible, with blockly jagged lines.

I like the picture of the viper the most. Compression doesn't seem to be slaughtering it, and you can tell it's got really good AA going on. About the pit crew, they are animated. It's just that they are doing the same animation in all of those screen shots.

Don't forget it's not finished yet guys - I'm sure it'll be more polished still than this yet. Don't forget this is the GT crew we're talking about, bloody perfectionists the lot of them. So far it looks creamtastic. I can't wait to get my hands on some lovely Ferrari's. :D

I can't wait to get my hands on a Skyline. Or any other JDM for that matter... oh I'm going to faint

I'm just *meh* about the inclusion of exotics, though.

I can see what you mean, but I've driven Skyline's, 3000GT's and all manner of Jap super saloons to death now, I want something more exciting now. I know there were a lot of non-Japanese cars in GT4, but it can only improve with the additions of more exotic eurocars.

    Via Kotaku:

"Also at the behest of fans is a working damage model, one of unspecified depth. We didn't see Kaz run into anything during our session, so it was hard to tell if the game features the system in place yet."

Good point. Sorry for not mentioning this, but the rationale behind my aversion to exotics is that they're pretty boring in the sense that they're no longer non-granny-assisted electronics-free supercars. With that in mind, I can only really be excited about exotics if they include true supercars of the past like the Diablo, Countach, F40, and F1; cars that were not only difficult to drive but outright dangerously fast to drive from their lack of 'domesticated options'.

P.S.: it seems that Polyphony Digital has fixed their buggy bloom implementation. Nice...

I want to see more American cars. I'm not talking about muscle cars and big trucks, either.
