my internet at home is appalling
we are in the middle of nowhere and at the end of a line..
I need to do this at home and upload it. I guaruntee it's worse than anyone here. I connect at 28kbs
I'm still 'winning' (530/220)...
*awaits someone with a longer line*
^ only just!
Darnit, apartment connection speeds are somewhat down the toilet again.
;( And this is O2 16Mbps Broadband too...
Crappy. Supposed to have 10 meg. Gonna have to get onto Virgin about that...
At le college
And at home
Apparently, virgin media is due to roll out the 50mb service soon
I've had hugely varying results, anywhere between this and 3900kbps download, but the upload seems about typical. This is on an "8 Meg" connection. I've always had many minor reasons to dislike Supanet, but thankfully O2 should be hooking me up on Friday. A new modem also means I'll be able to connect with my new system.
And eleven minutes later...
Annoyingly Durham uni appears to only be able to afford 10meg networking gear... that keeps dropping me and others.
and about 30seconds later
just got 7.5/1.4
To the nearest server - Maidenhead
To the London one
i just called my ISP, i'm getting 6/1 for $25 a month, but i have to wait until the november 17th for them to run a line to my house . until then i'm stuck on 1.5Mbps cable for $50/mo
not that bad i think
On the Virgin 20mb line. Its normally is around 19mb to be fair... and upload is always dire.
I really hate the pitiful upload speeds we have with regular consumer broadband
I believe this is 10Mb (don't think our area has been upgraded to 20Mb yet). Don't know why it says Telewest still, it was merged into NTL years ago, then turned into Virgin Media.
well i could beat you all if i was at home, at about 10k both ways (fricking cap), but I have one of the best connection in hamilton atm, Telecom realy need to get on with unbundling
DSL, best we can get back in the woods.
