Can anyone recommend a motherboard manufacturer that makes boards with the ability to hook up external readers for the sensors (fan, heat, etc)? I know I could probably do this via USB, but that would be only once software is loaded, I'm looking for a way to read these sensors on an external device (that I will build) from the moment the power is switched on, just like the BIOS does. I've not decided the rest of the spec of the PC I'm building yet as this will all be dependent on the availability of a mother board to meet my needs. Anyone got any ideas? Thanks,
