Networks Msn ports?

    Does anyone know what ports msn uses? Specifically for video conferencing? Also on netmeeting (which i have already set up portforwarding for ) i can send out video but can not receive, also i can receive calls but not send them out? any ideas?

    i kinda posted this thread before i asked on irc so there :p

    also i have 4 other pcs connected on the network that uses msn aswell. Would this affect their msn e.g not allowing it to connect?

    Are you using the latest version of MSN Messenger? Ever since version 6 i've not had to use port forwarding to get the file transfers and video conference to work over NAT. Guess it depends on the router.

    If the router is uPnP compliant you won't have any trouble, and afaik if the firewall is stateful then it seems to work fine also.

    I use IPCop 1.3, file transfers and webcams all work without any port fiddling. I used to have problems when I had IPCop 1.2.
