I use a simple scoring system to estimate the capabilities of different CPUs. Multiply number of real cores by clock speed in GHz then multiply by 1.25 for hyperthreading. This does not take into account instructions per clock or floating point performance but its close enough if you`re looking at processors of roughly the same age.

Your 3930K scores 32.25, a 4P 6128 scores 64. This is why people build 4P systems. Let us know how you get on, I have been considering a similar system myself.
