For your first plexi case I would say that is pretty nice there, I'm not to crazy about the colors but that is just my opinion. :)

well to tell the truth, the front panel is kinda aggressive(?)i dont know how to describe it,perhaps some more friendly colors such as silver, white will make it better

    eh...
Well, as far as doing it all yourself its a good start but as stated before could use some finishing touches. Then again, if its function over form in your book then as long as it does what you want it to then screw the looks, but i doubt you'll find many buyers that way.

My personal first though was that the color/insides looked all fugly, but whatever floats your boat...

Ok, heres my two cents. For a custom case and your first time working with acrylic: :thumb:

My first time didn't even get completed.

    Now, the critique:

If you want to sell these, you need to go for a look that will blend in with existing home entertainment equipment. There are several cases out there, but they cost a few bucks.

Secondly, you need hardware within it that meets the requirements. Its already been said here, but I'll add onto it. A capture card. I swear by Hauppage. I have a 250 in my HTPC and it rocks. It does all of the processing by itself leaving the processor for other duties. You need a quality tv output card. I use an All-in-wonder 9600. Excellent output and has the ability to be a second capture card for capturing multiple channels.

Third, you need a quality sound card. I suggest an Audigy. One with at least 5.1 ability, preferably more.

Fourth. I don't think youve mentioned the software yet. I personally use myHTPC and Snapstreams BTV. However, they require quite a bit of tinkering and balancing. I am checking into what it takes to get a MS license to sell their Media PC version of XP, but I am sure it takes some real dough to get started.

Well, this has been more than two cents worth, but I hope I was of some help.

For a prototype, Looks good, but I have to agree with the rest of the guys, the cutting needs to be better...

Too lazy to read entire thread and check if someone else might have mention what I have in mind.

Over all very nice work. But:
Red front panel and you could make a red plastic box or perhaps painted red metallic box to hold the PSU. Next, red sleeving. No sense in seeing the red front panel and non-sleeved wires.

Then I'd call the case complete.

[edit] Oh and paint that aweful orange fan blade red :) [/edit]
