I bought a Samsung T240 and conncet HDMI cable with a DVI to HDMI Adapter to my PC, and sometimes when I turn on my monitor, and then turn on my PC, the screen is blank, it can't pick up the signal. So I end up have to switch off my PC and turn on again until my monitor can pick up the signal. What's wrong with it? How can I solve the problem?
Go into your graphics set up and make sure you have the correct displays set up. For example if your graphics card is set up for one monitor then changed to another that doesnt support that resolution it wont pick it. Is that samsung a monitor or tv? If its a monitor why dont you just use the dvi cable?
I would say the first thing to try would be another cable, or even a graphics card / screen if you can lay your hands on one. If it works fine everytime with a different type of cable then I would say it is either the cable you have, or one of the connections.
