Lol. Like the idea. I could do it the weekend we go away. I'm sure my missus would be amused by that lol. Don't think I have got the bottle to jump out of a plane. And the thought of all those bugs hitting my face as I travel at over 200mph to the ground before I die lol. Keep your thoughts coming. Thanks, Simon.
I second the notion for the 128gb crucial drive. Though, don't buy it fromt here website. It is £35 cheaper at scan. http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/128G...b-s-SSD-Read-250MB-s-Write-200MB-s-64MB-Cache
This might sound daft, but what about a laptop? There's no point firing that bad-boy up when all you want to do is go on Bit. Could you not get the i7 and DDR3, and then wait for a time when you'd have the cash for a motherboard? It's easier to get the cash together to pull the trigger on a £150-200 purchase than it is to pull on a £450-500 purchase. What about a new case? That cash is pimped-out TJ07 territory. Alternatively, a bunch of Dremel-based presents... I still vote for a cheapy guitar (lessons off the net) and Steam games, tbh (though, chances are, you'll still have money left over after this). They'll both keep you occupied for weeks on end (heck, I've still got my first guitar nearly 8 years on!)
Are you mad that rig is great I would become an alcoholic, i would spend the lot on beer, afterall, it is xmas
To be honest I did look at cases as I have owned my rc1000 for well over a yr and quite frankly I'm bored of it lol. I did like the look of the coolermaster haf 932. But taking apart the watercooling (only cpu tho) is going to be a messy job as my double bay Reservoir leaks at the fill cap. Also we own a cheapy laptop that we use for surfing the net in bed with. So don't need a laptop. Slizza, 1 bottle will get me on my way let alone 50. LOL Mr Happy, After Morrisons deal on the Carlsberg 4 for £1, I brought 80 bottles for £20 so I already have became an alcoholic LOL. Hiccup... Thanks for the effort lol Simon
Have to agree that the rig's awesome and there have to be better things to spend on than more geeky computer stuff. Whether you spend it on her or not (and I too, would be intrigued to hear what you've got her!), now's not a good time for SSDs and you really do have everything else covered.
This is what I have got her so far; 1. http://www.lovedbyyou.co.uk/product-ghd-straighteners-pretty-in-pink-gift-set-limited-edition-1874 2. http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.206-5406.aspx 3. 2x http://www.perfumepoint.co.uk/p733/kate-edt-100ml-spray.html As she loves it so much. 4. http://www.lingraywatches.co.uk/dolce-gabbana-dg-forever-gold-bangle-ladies-dw0222-p-1622.html 5. http://www.debenhams.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/prod_10001_10001_125001110999_-1 6. http://www.boots.com/en/Toni-Guy-Daily-Style-Bag_949568/ 7. http://www.boots.com/en/Dove-Supreme-Silk-Pampering_954003/ 8. http://www.boots.com/en/No7-Mini-Manicure-Collection_947723/ 9. http://www.boots.com/en/No7-Sunkissed-Bronzing-Pearls_15559/ 10. http://www.boots.com/en/No7-Handbag-Essentials_947727/ 11. http://www.boots.com/en/No7-Womens-Gift-Bag_1014670/ 12. http://www.boots.com/en/Oral-B-Vitality-Dual-Clean-Electric-Toothbrush_121602/ Before you say anything about this product. She has always asked for a electric toothbrush. Now don't pinch my ideas into what to give your missus lol. Elton wrote; Dell U2410. Why would I buy a 24" monitor when I have a 30"? lol. I only suggested an extra 2 20" monitors to sit either side of my 30" in portrait mode. Adam_bagpuss wrote; STRIPPER - thats a present for yourself. I would like to keep my manhood as I'm sure my missus would enjoy ripping them off after finding out lol. Okenobi; You have a valid point there. I have in the end got 2 20" monitors ordered and at a bargain price. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NEW-DELL-Prof...s_Monitors?hash=item3ca7b35b9c#ht_1183wt_1165 My Partner haggled with him and got the 2 monitors for £200.00 including free delivery. Awesome. £100 left to spend now. Simon
LOL. I will put up pics when I get the 2 monitors and show you guys how to convert a under stairs cupboard into your gaming space.
Impressive list and you didn't even have to go to Exeter Sounds like the purchase you made was reasonable. Now FFS get something non-geeky with the last £100!
