Okay, i've been wanting to build a cheap gaming rig for a while and i've only just got an "Okay" source of income (Working £6 an hour on the weekends) and i wanted to see if you guy's thought this would be an okay build for what i want (Near to max settings on most mainstream games) Im gonna be buying some of the parts as soon as my first payday comes, so i wanted to make sure everything's exactly how it should be before i buy something wrong. I dont need a case, speakers or a moniter as i've bought a CiT Mars case and im going to be using a small tv as the moniter/speakers, i do need to know wether you guys think my choice of an Arctic Cooling Freezer 13 would fit into the case i've bought? I tried to find a relatively low profile cooler that was still powerful and thats what i found, if its needed i could always buy a bigger case afterwards. Anyway, the parts i've chosen are in the link below: https://secure.scan.co.uk/aspnet/Shop/SavedBasket/Show.aspx?id=2b81a0ae69864d24bd38102f5d403f26 I need to try and keep the price around £500 and then i'll be able to get it after a month
To be honest, thats a great build! Not much I would change in that for the price! One thing I would dissuade against is using a TV as a monitor, as it usually ends up looking pretty rough around the edges. How about also buying a headset (headphone + mic), instead of having speakers? Anyone know about the CiT Mars?
Yeh the TV thing's only temporary, probably gonna go for a cheap 20" moniter after a little bit longer, and i've always found headsets extremely uncomfortable when playing games for a long period of time, they do give a better sense of immersion though so i may think about investing in high quality ones, Thanks.
