    Hey

My dad wants my current pc because his old compaq isnt cutting it for him anymore. So im thinking about either getting a laptop or a shuttle pc for college. I need a computer that plays games with relatively little lag at 1024 res, has decent hard drive storage, good sound quality and doesnt slow down if i open multiple programs at once.

My current pc that im giving to my father is a AMD 2100XP Tbred, DFI nforce2 mobo, 512 Corsair XMS ram, 60gig WD Hard drive 8mb cache, ATI 9800np, generic cdrw drive& dvd drive, onboard sound.

My budget is about 1000 dollars. I have a 15 inch Samsung LCD monitor and decent speakers right now. It can be either AMD or Intel dont matter to me.

    Thanks for any help

well thats easy, remove the floppy/ media card reader (it's out of stock anyway), and replace it with a floppy or a media card reader drive, or scrap it all together. Or get a dvd-rom/ cd-rw instead of the dvd-burner.

Looks like the floppy/ media card reader was automaticly taken out of the shared wish list, making the total $984.24.
