Fine for a showcar but for normal people: NO DON'T DO IT YOU JUST LOOK STUPID! Nope it was the original that had those in... and some story about robbing trucks?
Technically it's illegal in NY State to drive with them on. Problem is, I see kids with them all the time and for the most part, the cops don't care. It is a distraction to other drivers IMO...
I think the cops'll only stop the car with the neons fitted if they are looking for an excuse to pull the car over and check out the driver/vehicle. Which seems fair enough to me. What really gets my goat is all the people with the illegal number plates, with squished up letters or even worse italic letters... IT'S UN READABLE AND ILLEGAL!
i've got neons under my truck strictly for show purposes... it's illegal to have them on while driving in both MA and CT, so I just turn them off... looks good with the black truck & red neon coming out from underneath
I want some for my Civic, but I want the light to be like a carpet of light, rather than 4 bulbs reflecting of the ground. Neons only suit Jap car's me thinks looks crap on a Nova :| Loay.
No - they look crap on everything. Actually, Mr Deralow - you've never posted pics of your cars - we want proof *n
i want to put blue neons under my Tahoe. i will probably have to use extra brights or somthing becuase of the ground clearance.
OT cuz this topic is annoying.... dodge neons come from the factory with zero camber (tire lean) and no method to adjust it. this is done, because of the number of them used by rental car companies...it means they use tires less quicky, and accident damage can be repaired weith off the shelf components and only the need to align the toe settings just though i'd share my knowledge about neons
the old ones also used to blow through head gaskets every 10-20k miles... and it was like a 6 hour job to replace them because of the way they mount everything, its actually easier to remove the engine to replace the head gasket on them.... stupid dodge engineers... no thought for the damn mechanics doing work on them.... sure it makes the engine bay smaller, but damn near impossible to work on..... saabs & volvos do the same thing these days so serious work on them is a royal pain in the arse
