I need to replace the internal wifi card on my eeepc 1001ha because it's not compatible with the operating system I want to put on it. I've noticed that the card already in the thing only has one antenna connector, where as all the cards I can find have at least two.

Does anyone know if all the antenna connectors on a card have to be used for it to work, or can I just connect the existing antenna to connector 1 on a new card?

    Thanks for any help!

It would depend on the card I think,

it may have 1 antenna for 2.4Ghz and 1 for 5Ghz so if you only connect one you may miss out on the other frquency (and the standard one probably didn't support 5Ghz as not every device does)

Thanks - just installed it with just the one antenna and it seems to work fine!
