    MSI P67A-GD53 (B3) P67 Socket 1155 8 Channel Audio ATX Motherboard £101.82
    Intel Core i5 2500K 3.3GHz Socket 1155 6MB Cache Retail Boxed Processor £167.94
    Be Quiet Dark Rock Advanced C1 Socket 775, 1155, 1156, 1366, AM2+, AM3, 754, 939 Processor Cooler £42.99
    Corsair 8GB (2X4GB) DDR3 1600Mhz Red Vengeance Memory Kit CL9 (9-9-9-24) 1.5V £36.99

Will the Memory fit OK with the Heatsink...?
I take it the B3 version is the "fixed" one...?

Any other comments or suggestions welcome :)

Does it really have to be red? this stuff is good, and very low profile. It will run 1T at recommended timings and volts, and can be pushed a little higher to 1866 or so at 2T with no extra volts. It's the same price too.

Just to make clear, no *mat-ster* your chosen memory will not fit under the heatsink+fan. Get a low profile kit :)

I had a really bad go with a MSI AMD board had to send back, probably just got the dud in the batch. MSI tend to have everything on Board disabled in the BIOS, so check it if something isnt working, i.e. sound, Lan, USB ect.

e-buyer - no longer in stock at SCAN last time I looked.

Thanks - suspected it may be a problem.

Perfect Pookeyhead - thanks for the link...

Can anyone confirm the B3 Version is the "fixed" Mobo (does not have the SATA bug) cheers.

What do you guys think of this Mobo http://www.scan.co.uk/products/msi-...(x16)-ddr3-1333-1600-2133-sata-3gb-s-raid-atx as far as I can tell almost identical to the GD53 but with 1394 rear port and Dr Mos....?

B3 is the fixed version without the SATA problem. The GD55 is a GD53 with a few more features, no difference other than that. If you think you might need the features, or if its cheaper - get it :)
