I just wanted to tell you that I like the new forum. It's lighter and I like it

I for one liked the old one better, this one is too light, way too light.

The look is very clean, but would be nice if it was slightly darker :thumb:

The fonts are too big for me, lots of scrolling.
Also it is hard to skim info as the thread starter is so small, and the last post by is soo large.

Also, the subscribe to thread button is way too hidden.

Would be much easier for users to just reply and say:

Than spend the time to search for the "subscribe" button.

I also am not seeing the place to change my custom title in the user control panel.

Sorry for all the critique ;)

the new layout is um, how do i say it, overly light, some of the tones could use a darkening. overal design is good though, gives the site a new car feel.

good job whoever hooked it up

    My initial reaction was:

    Which changed to:

    :grr:

    Then to:

    :nono:

    And now it is:

    :duh:

    Please change it to

Hmm, pretty nice but it will take a little getting used to. The new version of vBulletin seems pretty nice. Think you should maybe update the smilies to fit the new colours better as you've done with the thread icons.

Personally, I really like it. It's clear, organised and easy to read and use. Colours seem fine to me... :thumb:

Some forums allow you to choose between a range of designs which you can set as your personal preference. Perhaps an idea (if not too complicated).

Alternatively I would just accept that you can please all of the people some of the time, and some of the people all of the time, but not all of the people all of the time. That's human nature, and diversity is strength.

    And: Change is Good. :D

Everything is standard (vB defacto) presently, with the exception of the top logo and our collection in-thread smilies. Things'll be coming together over the next week or two, just sit tight :)

Ah right, I thought I saw a few vB logos skulking around :) I have to say I love the new thread reply email where it shows the post in the email, it's an excellent feature.

I really hate the new look. Makes it much harder to use and some of the colours arent even done properly.

Hexus did the same and I have almost stopped visiting there .... but I cant do that to BiT

Its not the worst in the world but then again any change we would have to get used to the change. But it can be a little better :)

I can't say I'm a big fan of the new design. It's too light and the top-left logo looks unprofessional (.bit-tech.net forums)
And it is impossible to browse through the thread starters now, as was possible before.
And bit-tech has lost some of its blue "charm". Now it's just gray and boring. I have seen alot of forums using Vbulletin and looking just like this. And I have always said to myself "I'm happy bit-tech doesn't look like this"...

    :sigh:
