Hi all, im looking at upgrading my sapphire 6850 1GB to something with a bit more oomph. I have £400 at the absolute maximum, and have no preference to amd or nvidia. My gaming resolution is 1080p and i primarily play FPS (Bf3, Arma 2, PS2). I also try and fraps some gameplay, but currently my GPU doesn't give enough Frames Per Second to play on high settings at 1080p. Also would it be worth investing in a newer 7200rpm hdd to record to, my current one is ageing a little so that may be bottlenecking the recording.

    Cheers

I have this, I didn't think the top was worth the £50 extra ( this is already £50 dearer than the basic models but I like the cooler for looks and performance and it matches my cooler scheme)

Some say it is overkill but I like to keep my GPUs for a minimum of 2 years and in that time it will age gracefully.

I recommend it highly the with the spare cash grab on of these.
