Just had my Logitech G15 keyboard die, (Nooooooooooooooo!!!!!!) after many years of use. Just wanted some advice on a replacement. What people are using and how they rate them. Want to spend no more than £70 - £80 but would prefer to spend less. Any suggestions.
The Microsoft SideWinder X4 is sleek, sexy and very practical. I am very happy i chose it and i would recommend you get the same unless you want something flashing like a Christmas tree. http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/en-us/p/sidewinder-x4-keyboard
I love my sidewinder X6 Very awesome and only £35 Ok it doesn't have a flashy LCD but I find I hardly use them. I have tried various different keyboards...including a lot of the saitek keyboards, have to say I very much like this. The keys feel very nice, has a very warm excellent red backlight and plenty of macro buttons, plus has multimedia hot keys. Let me link a picture: Uploaded with ImageShack.us
If you want speed and longevity get a mechanical Keyboard like this: http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0046EDI...de=asn&creative=22206&creativeASIN=B0046EDIHS 66 pounds.
Mechanicals are a good way to go, and there are some in your price range. If the Black Widow interests you I recommend the 'stealth' edition instead as it has many technical improvements.
I guess having had a G15 you want another keyboard with all the extra macro buttons, lights etc. I had a G11 which broke a few weeks ago. But just incase you want a keyboard that simply works with no extra crap - I got the 6GV2 from Steelseries. Mechanical keyboard and absolutely amazing to use. But a lil on the expensive side (considering it doesn't have all the extra crap). I'm not sure where does it for the cheapest at the moment. http://fnatic.com/shop/categories/keyboards/ used to be cheapest, but none in stock and the price is higher now than what I paid. I got it for £50.
Had alook at the Stealth version on razers website. Anyone tell me why the system requirements for a mouse include 75mb hdd space! http://store.razerzone.com/store/razerusa/en_GB/pd/productID.235196400 Ok know its probably profiling software but it made me chuckle.
Hey , you can check for laptop keyboards at www.laptopkeyboard.com That is where i got my new keyboard from. They service is good and mostly i liked the installation video's which helped me fix my new keyboard easily
