what do you guys think of the new lian li case, ive just read bit-techs cebit part 3 and seen some pics of it and damn does that look nice!! me wants one!!! when they coming out anyone!?
that case does look damn good, that is a defo replacement for my CM.. (and that takes alot since i love my CM ) any info on it?
just being cruising the lian li site and right there on the front page there is this click me Plus a scrolling banner that says this case will be available from mid may! i say start saving that shrapnel modders! i know i will be
hmm ah, I really love Lian-li's but for some reason, these things do not appeal to me. I think its the meshy grill like front. I like them due to the space, but I guess a little modding could put it to my like even more!
they look damn good but not lian li-good... wich what i Mean 1. I'm used to better of them 2. its going to cost alot.. and it dosn't look like it's worth it.. L
im loving it, its got that apple feel to it but its also summit i aint seen lian li do before with their cases its new! yeah i didnt know whether this should go in hardware or not so i figured id stick it here then it can be moved by a mod if they deem it approriate.
hmm maybe htat was a little harsh ok, they look good on the inside, attention to detail and everything... its still lian li quality but I don't like the front look... I prefer the 'neat' old look from the older case's... thats all L sorry for the two posts in a row...
just showed my friend this and he made a good point the window is on the opposite side to what it normally is, but on the other pictures it shows that the inside of the case is going to be visible through the window and not just the back of your motherboard. So does that mean the mobo is going to mounted on the opposite side from you spun round or summit then?
i dunno bout the upside-down mobo thing ... i guess for all you people with lights & stuff on yer videocard it would be nice, but i just dont get it. and another thing, now instead of on top, my video cable will be on the bottom of the bundle, and my network/sound cables on top? that's just wrong. and room for only 2 fans? the reason i got my pc71 was cause it fit 6 without modding .. and it looks like the intake is ducted across the hdd racks and out the psu (wonder if the 2nd fan on my psu will be blocked btw ...) with no active intake for the mobo area ... might be ok for a celeron system but im not putting my 2400+ in there. no way.
I like the case, but personally I won't be buying one...probably going to try and make my rig a lot quieter, that means something with less holes for air to escape from and fewer fans...Antec SLK-3700BQE time methinks. Looking at the picture in the first post in the thread, it appears the rear exhaust fan is 120mm or so...a step in the right direction methinks, I'm fed up of lots of 80mm fans (like in my modded CM200, 8x 80mms anyone, though as stock it does only have 5 if you include the PSU fans) where fewer slower rotating 120mm's would move the same amount of air.
I don't get it - Heat rises. There's gonna be a huge deadzone of hot air all up in your expansion slots where your video card and whatnot is already fighting to stay cool. There needs to be a fan at the top rear or top center. And at least for me, I always take the feet off my cases so it can sit on the top of my desk and not roll off if I bump it. If most of the hot air is escaping from the bottom, this wouldn't work unless you left the feet on.
That case embodies the true meaning of being a li-lian. Only available in one or two colors, silver/black. All aluminum, cheapest case is over 100$. I can't wait to see the full-server style cases that are coming out for BTX.
