I have the 932, and its lovely. What I suggest though is the ATCS 840 though, as it is beautiful, and comes with DUST FILTERS!!!! The 932 is a hoover, filters can be modded for it fairly easily though... I strongly suggest the ATCS 840 though. Its a case you'll never have to replace
I like the ATCS 840 too but it is huge and expensive. Maybe the Lian-Li PC-P50 Amoursuit - its' a bit cheaper and is a great cooling performer.
Been told by a freind to get a AMD and ati gfx card ? Edit AMD Phenom II X6 1090T Black Edition, Thuban, Sok AM3, 3.2GHz, 9MB Total Cache, 125W, Retail
AMD seem to be losing to intel at the moment for performance, especially if you wanna overclock as the new icore cpus overclock lovely. Agree with the ATI range of graphics card, loving my 5850
Gigabyte-GA-890FXA-UD5-AMD-890FX-S-AM3-PCI-E-20-%28x16%29-DDR3-1866%28OC%29-SATA-6Gb-s-SATA-RAID-ATX that bourd to go with it
I'd definitely reduce the RAM to 6GB which elaves you enough to get the 930 & get the Cosmos S case - I really don't like the look of the HAF cases & the Cosmos provides far superior cooling & features.
I have the Cosmos S case for my current rig. To give you an idea of temps mine are currently showing in Everest as; CPU - Idles at 45 C GPU - Idles at 56 C Slightly concerning is that it shows my motherboard temp as 50 C. Rig as in sig. I did have 12gb of memory when I originally built it but as previously mentioned it does restrict your overclock potential. Dropped down to 6gb and I can push it to 4.3g and probably more. By the way the graphics card is a Powercolor 4870 1GB with the stock cooler. Just noticed it isn't in the sig.
Ok final Build will hope to get it next week . Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD3R 2GB Sapphire 5870 Titan Fenrir Special Edition 1TB Samsung HD103SJ X 2 Asus Xonar DS 7.1 PCI 850W Corsair Intel Corei7 920 6GB (3x2GB) Corsair Dominator, Triple DDR3 PC3-(1866) Coolermaster RC-1100 V2 Cosmos S. Becouse it looks nice and is a well built case also haf 932 i know 3 people with them. So yeah that's it i don't think there is any thing i would change. going to get the side panel with my name Engraved or something
So close, but not quite! Don't bother with the 2GB HD 5870. The extra memory makes no difference to performance over the 1GB model at anything but super mentally high Eyefinity resolutions. Unless you mis-typed and meant the HD 5970, in which case, that looks like a tidy little build.
The Samsung 1TB HD103SJ is an excellent drive (as is its smaller 500Gb HD502HJ brother). See here for how it stacks up against the competition. The site is also useful for (basic) benchmarking of CPUs, GPUs etc.
i would be tempted to cut down on a few things and get an SSD too. lose one of the spinpoints, go down to a 700w PSU, 1gb 5870 then you should have enough for an intel 80g gen2
Looking at PSUs and i cant seam to find one that is that much cheaper. http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/750W...-6X-PCI-E-ATX-12V-22-and-EPS12V-80-Efficiency Just found that one
the 480 is not faster than a 5970 check out the bit tech review its faster in every test game at all resolutions except DoWII
You're looking at the wrong benchmarks. HD 5970 eats the GTX 480 for breakfast. Both are very noisy under load mind, so be warned!
Well atm my pc is so loud i carnt get to sleep with it on. I also have fit the intel Ssd in to my budget 80g one so should FLY £50 pound over budget tho EDIT Final Final I think http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/750W...-6X-PCI-E-ATX-12V-22-and-EPS12V-80-Efficiency http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Cool...osmos-S-(Sport)-Black-Full-Tower-Case-w-o-PSU http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/6GB-...-DDR3-PC3-(1866)-CAS-9-9-9-24-DHX-XMP-DF-165V http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Inte...Hz-QPI-48GT-s-8MB-Cache-20x-Ratio-130W-Retail http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Asus...d-192k-24bit-true-PC-Hi-Fi-audio-presentation http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/80GB...h-25-SATA-3Gb-s-Read-250MB-s-Write-70MB-s-OEM http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/ss1T...3-SATA-3Gb-s-7200rpm-32MB-Cache-89-ms-NCQ-OEM http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Tita...M-Fan-HDT-CPU-Cooler-775-1156-1366-K8-AM2-AM3 http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/2GB-...DDR5-GPU-735MHz-3200-Cores-2xDL-DVI-I-Mini-DP http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/Giga...e-PCI-E-20-DDR3-2200-1333-SATA-6Gb-s-RAID-ATX Well that's it
a couple of last minute suggestions: do you really need 1866 RAM? surely 1600 RAM would be just as good for less money? also, this ones a personal one, but how much as the equivalent ASUS MB compared to the gigabyte one u specced?
