Hello all, Newbie here, I am a thirty "cough" four year old dude from the North of England, die hard PC gamer and sadly I probably play with it more than I do my missus! I have a decent rig: Desktop: 32" Dell top spec monitor 4.0gb ram Intel core i7 CPU 2.67ghz - over clocked to 3ghz Geforce GTX 295 clear side case with neo blue stip lights and ridiculously oversized fan (compensating???) ... hardrive and other gubbins that has no effect on performance. I also have: Alienware laptop (in silver & blue) 17" 6gb Ram Intel Core i7 CPU M620 ... other gubbins Anyway, though it was about time I joined up, long time lurker or whatever. 2 things I need help: 1) I want to upgrade the desktop a bit with a new Graphics card and really interested to hear from people who actually have one of each: ATI Radeon HD 6990 4096MB GDDR5 vs GeForce GTX 590 3072MB GDDR5 yes apart from the obvious seen comparisons etc etc but I want to know has anybody had any problems with any of the cards, crashes etc. 2) our lasses birthday next week and I am ****ing clueless what to get her! Any cool ideas out of the ordinary would be awesome will spend about 300 on her skanky ass. So that's me!
