Just spotted, has Nexxo really stepped down?
Whilst I'm sad to see him step down, I'm not that surprised...
Nexxo has chosen to take a step back for the time being. Moderating on the forum put demands upon your time, and as he has mentioned his work commitments come first.
He is also more than welcome to take up his moderating role again in the future if he so wishes.
I can fully understand his reasoning, although will be sad to see him step down. I do hope he finds the time to come back at some point in the future.
Fair enough, it's not as if he's walked away from the forum.
Sadface at him stepping down, but at the same time I completely understand being snowed under with work and having to step back from some things. I hope to see his name back in red at some point in the future, until then we still have plenty of others to keep us all in check and ban the adbots
while Nexxo takes a break
Not always seen eye to eye with him but I'm sure most of you agree, he has made us tow the line. Sorry to see him step down.
Plan is on schedule meeting at usual place 18:00 hours for de brief.
...Sorry i've been watching the Bourne identity, lol.
Very sad to see this. Didn't always agree 100% but he was always a calm voice of reason in arguments (more often flame wars), hopefully this continues despite the new blueness.
I think bit tech will be worse off not having Nexxo as a mod, but if your default position is to label forum members as a bunch of bickering children, then maybe it is the right time to step down.

Let's face it Spreadie, that's a pretty accurate description for some forum members at times. I can't say I blame him, he has a job which I assume can be ten times more stressful than mine at times and I struggle to find the time to even log onto the forum some weeks, never mind being the ever sensible voice of reason that he's been in so many hot debates and outright flame threads. I have no idea how he manages it.
Yep, true enough, but I read Nexxo's comments as a generalisation - it wasn't a dig at Nexxo - he probably analyses his own mental state as much as he does others, so perhaps he was aware of that and it was one of the reasons for him stepping down.
I think he should have wielded the Ban-Hammer™ more often! He was one of the most fairest and reasoned mods here (no offence to all other mods!), such a shame.
We all know why he stepped down.
He needs time for the building of the next Metaversa!!
Damn, definitely a huge loss for the forum
Is yodasarmpit another one? Sure he was red cause he closed this thread.
Is it right to giveaway things that you got by donating to charity?
Which I think was the last straw for poor Nexxo.
That's a real shame, though I can totally get where he is coming from.
Hopefully I wasn't part of the reason. I'm not childish, just rude it's different.
I hope you go red again one Nexxo, but I also hope work calms down, busy work is the worst one.
Yes, I have also decided to step down - something I have considered for quite some time, however Nexxo's decision helped make my mind up.
Unfortunately I simply don't have the time to focus on the forum or vet the thousands of new registrations daily.
Whilst I shall remain a member of the forum, of which I have been a member for 11years, it shall be with a blue title not red.
I fully agree. This feeling by no means reflects on forum members in general, and I sure don't want to feel that way. But over the last year I have increasingly started to, and that ain't a healthy, balanced attitude from which to moderate. Hence I've taken some time out (you could say I've moderated myself ).
The other reason is that my work duties have increased at an exponential rate as a consultant psychologist. Things may settle down in future but I have to focus on work for a bit. It has been commented by a few members that we moderators should have noticed or been aware of certain things that I certainly haven't been, and I guess that brought brought it home that I haven't been able to give the role the time it demands. So I thought it was better to pass the banhammer to someone who can.
I won't be leaving the forum; you just may not see me around quite as often for a while. Meanwhile I'm sure the mods will find a worthy replacement.
