Electronics night rider

    how easy would it be to make a night rider style set of leds? Anywhere where I could get a circuit diagram?

    There are quite afew designs that simulate the 'Knight Rider' Lights on the net. A quick serach using google found this:

    I'm pretty sure that there are other examples on this forum too, but I'm too lazy to :search:.

    Alternativley, for the best results, you could use a microcontroller. (eg a PIC) I did this a while back, and it allows you to slowly fade the LEDs on and off, to get a more accurate effect. Also the circuit is very simple, requiring only the PIC, enough LEDs and current limiting resistors, (eg 14 of each) and a crystal oscillator to get it working. (much simpler than the circuit in the link I gave you)

    Edit: decided to look for the thread in the forum after all, turns out that cpemma links to the same site that I found. Anyway, the link acrimonious gives below looks way better. (see below)
