Yeah, the Super Star Destroyers are just insane. I admit I wonder how the Rebellion ever won, based on the fact that Palpatine Force-wiped the memories of everyone on Coruscant when he buried the SSD Lusankya on the planet to serve as a prison...


There was a fan-project for X-Wing Alliance a few years ago that updated the textures and meshes etc. for all the ships - but they were adamant that the SSDs were a different size. All the canon says they were 17km long, but they were certain that it was somewhere around the 8 or 9 mark...

But...

What about the Eclipse-class? A ship even bigger than an SSD, with a super-laser (Death Star laser) mounted on the bow.

 

Joypad ports? (well they had to go somewhere )

 

I'd love for the death star to just peek in on one side of that comparison chart, so you can see a little bit of the curve - to ram home how stupidly big it was!
