Right, wondering if anybody could shed some light on a problem I'm having...

Needing to install some software for uni/work but whenever I try it says a program has flagged the computer to restart (as I know XP does after most installs - apparently to avoid errors). The only thing being is this is a very new installation of XP and also I haven't installed any programs recently. The only thing I can think of is a bad installation of the blueyonder software, why oh why did i ever put that cd in the drive, that crashed half way through.

So basically, how do I find the program that has flagged my computer to restart (does it every time I turn on the damn thing) so that I can put a stop to this...

    Cheers & thanks in advance.

Solution (or a work around at least):

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager

Rename "PendingFileRenameOperations" entry, the name not the value.
