Cooling not WC or PhC but has anyone

    got a ThermalRight SLK-800A OR a
    ThermalRight SLK-900A
    and put a shroud on it to fit a larger fan like a 120mm aluminum fan yet?
    i kinda want to do this but i would need to see it up close .
    this will be or my older computer that im looking to chang the mobo psu and HSF out on

    I was under the impression that because of the close fin spacing of the 800 and 900, you need a higher pressure. To get a higher pressure, you need high RPM's, and 120 mm fans just aren't that fast.

    your correct but there are 2 mitigating curcumstances.
    1 im not looking for exteme performance and
    2 a shroud will help create some presure due o total volume being compacted. obviously it wont be a huge amount but some. basicaly im looking for good not great performance from a quieter 120mm fan
