Ive just had this problem develop since installing my new Asus Matrix 285gtx and its driving me crazy. When I play most games or watch video my pc just reboots in seemingly random moments. Sometimes I can play for hours others 10 mins. I have reset all CPU overclocking options to defaults and I havent even had a chance to clock the graphics card yet. Ive checked all hardware is correctly seated, changed drivers for all hardware and performed all the bios updates too. I have tried using onboard sound and have also tried various memory combinations and still no joy. Ive tried all the online solutions I can find too... So it thought i would try 3dmark vantage and got 14,000 points but even after 5 runs it wouldnt crash. General pc use and web browsing is fine only when watching video and playing games. sys specs Asus P5E3 Premium wi-fi@n Q6600 g0 (watercooled but @ stock for testing purposes 29c under load) 4gb corsair xms 3 1333mhz x-fi fatality zalman 850 watt psu wd raptor 150 hitachi 250gb drive no optical drive
ive had loads of problems on windows 7 64bit with my rig. i have droped the gpu drivers back down to the 186.2 ones and now everything is basically back to normal..
I'm running the 190.38 WHQL at the moment after the 190.62 gave me problems. Might give the 190.89 a try though.
