So that's the titan x now irreverent.... that didn't take long! and drivers are only going to get better for the Ti.
Also the 980 is now going to get a big price cut, making it the card to get very soon.

I know, as soon as I'm back from Computex I'll be rebuilding the graphics test system and introducing new benchies

Nvidia really do seem to enjoy kicking their early adopters in the nads.

I'm soooo glad I listened to my gut feeling about waiting to pull the trigger on a Titan X :thumb:

Now to just wait for Asus to release a Strix Ti and AMD to release the R9 390X to see what impact it has on pricing - I'm staying with the Green Team none the less :D

Wow! Those overclocking results are insane!

Time to use the EVGA step-up to replace the 980 in the HTPC.

And it's not insanely priced.

Lets see, future proof time, HDMI 2.0, Direct x 12, 6GB, awesome performance, yep I think that'll be a keeper for a few years, reminiscent of the GTX 8800, I'll get one as soon as I can & later get a 2nd one 2nd hand when I eventually get a 4k tv. :D

90w more than a 980 at stock under load and within 20w of a 290x oO

I dread to think of the overclocked power useage !

The 970 data in the table need updating due to nVidia's "confession".

So this is a cut-down version of GM200, same as 970 is a cut down version of GM204. Does it have full speed access to all of its VRAM?

What data are you referring to?
    So the answer is yes.

Wow, that thing is fast! I wonder if AMD will be tweaking their 'Fury' clock speeds to beat it?

Looks like the 970 is firmly cementing itself in place as the value-for-money card right now. Hope it's *ahem* issues get sorted out PDQ.

Good spot - I have updated it from 64 ROPs to 56 ROPs. Everything else is the same :)

^_^ It's high power consumption, but also extremely high performance. Whatever way you look at it, Maxwell is very efficient.

It's the same TDP as the 780Ti to with a couple of Watts.

Just out of curiosity but with the recent furore over Nvidia allegedly crippling Kepler based GPUs, and that they have recently released (yesterday) a fixed driver that some people are saying ups performance by 10-20% are some of the 7 series GPUs in the benchmarks that used older drivers still accurate?

Note: I'm not saying all 7 series GPUs should be re-tested with the newer fixed driver, just interested in how much difference this supposed fixed driver has made.
