Just thought I would share. Installed new SSD - 10 mins (replacing two 60GB corsairs) Installed new O/S - Updated and ready to go in under an hour. (includes the Gene IV Gen3 drivers and utilities) Gob smacked at the speed you can now get up and running.
Yeah. I found that when I replaced a 160GB mechanical with a 120GB OCZ Vertex Plus R2. The difference is amazing.
Have two of those in RAID0 and the Vertex 3's as well. Awesomely fast, although they can be temperamental. After a long history of buying OCZ drives I'll definitely not be buying any more unfortunately
Same - first OCZ will be my last - packed up without warning after only about 6 months. Typically I'd run SSDLife on it just days beforehand and it happily informed me that it was 100% healthy...
No problems over two years with OCZ. Only ever SSD problem was with a Corsair firmware update. But with RMA to them they sent a replacement drive.
