    Morning all.

Kind of at my wits end as I cant for the life of me figure out what is happening to my PC. I will explain the symptoms.

Use the computer all day, Usually programming / Designing the usual kind of thing. The compute runs perfectly, no slowdown, stuttering, plays most games at high settings.

At night I don't shut the PC down, Just turn both monitors off.

Wake up, Turn both monitors on. The Right monitor remains blank, The left monitor is Green. the PC is still running in the background (I can cause sounds, my keyboard LED's which run from the CPU CORE are still moving, Can even get a Skype call going. No keyboard commands will bring it out of this state.

Hit the power button and both monitors come to life and show display. If I cancel the shutdown the PC works as normal until I turn the monitors off over night.

The event viewer shows no errors of any kind (Like a graphics driver failure or reset)

I am really not sure what could be causing this at all, or what I can do to resolve it. All drivers are up to date, I will post the Hardware below. If anyone has any advise that would be great. Thanks!

    Hardware:
CPU: AMD Athlon X4 860K Quad Core
    RAM: 12GB DDR3 1600
    GPU: AMD R9 280X
Storage: 1TB SSD (Boot), 128 SDD. 1 TB HDD, 500GB HDD.
    MLB: Asus A88X-PRO

It's possibly a driver issue. Or maybe even your monitors firmware.

I remember years ago I got an HD 7800GT that for at least two years worth in driver updates couldn't wake my monitor properly to save it's life. I used to dread leaving my PC just in case the monitors went to sleep. However, you would think that had been resolved by now, with R9 series being around for a while.

    Have you tried beta drivers?

You could try control panel, power options. Change the settings to turn off the monitors after 10 mins (instead of completely powering them down) then let windows wake them again in the morning?
