overclocking a intel

    ok i need to overclock lol

    specs
    intel pentium 4, prescott socket 478 3.0ghz
    1gb of kingston ram
    ATI 9800 allingwonder pro viseo card and
    intel D875PBZ

    any programs wouldbe greatly apriciated

    use the bios to overclock, windows based programs are naff!

    What is your memory rated at? DDR 3200?

    freqency if thats what you mean is 199.6mhz

    do you have any info at all on the memory other than its stock speed?

    you can get alsorts of memory, like PC3200, PC 3500 and so on. these increase in speed.

    ok, well try and find out what the memory is and its timings. and then we can go from there.

    i cant think straight im get some shut eye!

    well i got into the bios but it wont let me overclock hold on let me shutdown and pull out the memory

    To get into BIOS it's usually "F1" "F2" or "Delete" after the initial bootscreen.

    If its an intel board, the overclocking options in bios are going to be non existant. (Could be wrong, its still worth checking. Unlikely to be anything there though...)
    Best bet is to find a version of clockgen which supports your mobo :)

    I'm a bit worried someone who doesn't know what kind of RAM they have, or even how to get into the BIOS wants to overclock!

    I'd do some research into this before asking on here "how to overclock" as it's been covered SOOO many times. Do a search on here, or Google "Overclocking Guides" or something. Do some reading up on the matter first.

    well i found out how to get into the bios and what ram i have i havent been in this computer in like a year so :(
