    Hey.

Ive had a heat problem with my opty 170. one core was around 17 degrees hotter then the other (the hot core was hitting 63 degrees on load).

i installed a zalman CNPS9700 LED...and it cooled it right down. i replaced my high cfm fan for a quieter one at the back...and the temps raised a bit...but its not a problem.

I increased the vcore to 1.375, memory to 166, and the cpu to 250. Currently running orthos beta on both cores, 13 minutes and no failure...BUT, the hotter core is hitting 65 degrees. I use my computer everyday and mostly game, and if not i run boinc. I plan to upgrade in a year (the opty was a quick fix upgrade from my venice 3500+). Would that kind of use for the opty at those heat be acceptable? It will probably get higher the hotter the weather gets...will it be fine?

Also...if its stable at 2500mhz....should i increase it in 50 or 100 mhz?

    Kye.
