some one on bit tech wanted to make a HTPC inside a guitar.. not sure how far he is on it.. if he's still at it tho... looks good tho..
I play the guitar, adn that strikes me as a waste of a nice instrument Plus, it isn't exactly compact and portable or anything...
I dunno, looks like a pretty smooth mod to me... About still playing it, of course you can strum it. Just don't expect any acoustics from it...as...you've...filled...the...acoustic chamber...? Still, I think it looks like a good mod tbqfh....
I was the one going to do the htpc in the guitar. Not that it's an orginal idea, but I think I'm the one being referred to.I've kind of scratched it for now. I'm going to build an nForce4 system for my buddy as his wedding present (will post pics of it on the gift table), I'm going to PAX in August, moving into a house with some friends and splitting the cost of a 50" DLP. The HTPC just isn't in the budget right now. That's pretty much what I wanted to do, though, with the exception of using EL wire in place of strings. I did see a guy who put one in an acoustic-electric, modded speakers into the front, and ran the guitar to the line in on the board. Plug it in, load your favorite audio app and you have amplification in your guitar. And it looked super high-quality. I wish I could find pictures of it again. Don't fret too much about that guitar, it looks like one of the cheapies I was looking at on ebay. You spend about 3 times as muc on shipping as you do for the guitar. It has a plastic bridge and is probably made out of the worst possible wood imaginable. Even if you could still play it, it wouldn't be worth listening to.
